Taylor’s Book Review – Judy Moody was in a Mood

(My daughter, Taylor, is seven years old. She is quickly becoming an avid reader, something I highly encourage. I have decided to give her a recurring spot on this blog where she can review her latest read. What follows in this post is Taylor’s first ever book review! The questions are mine. The answers (and the spelling) are all hers.)

Title: Judy Moody was in a Mood

Author: Megan McDonald

Illustrator: Peter Reynolds

Who is the main character of this book?

Judy Moody

Are there other important characters?

Name them and tell me a little about them.

Stink, little brother. Rocky, friend. Frank, eats paste for a dare and friend.

What happens in the story?

Well, Judy Moody is going back to school. She dose not want to. She misses summer. The teacher tells her to do a ME collage.  Judy is excited to tell people about herself. Allong the way, she found out some things about herself like: her favorite pet. She made a club with her best freind. She played a cavity in a play. She had fun scareing her little brother by putting a fake hand in the toilet. In the end Frank goned(joined) the t.p. club.

What was your favorite part?

When Judy said that her favorite pet was a venes fly trap. And when she puts a fake hand in the toilet crack. And when they start the t.p. club.

Was there anything you did not like?

Go to the end and find out. (she is referring to her score given at the end of this review)
